The book has many features to offer. Make sure you make the most of them!
To find the sections you want to read, go to the table of contents.
If you are looking for specific information, you can search for it.
Each page contains features that list a glossary of words. If you don’t know what something means and it is underlined, hover over it for a definition.
There are also many animations throughout the book that will help you learn. Here is one from chapter 8 that shows you an animation of a respiratory chain.
This animation shows the electron transport system in action. Note how each part relies on the other parts of the system to process its product before it can act on more substrate. Here electrons are blue spheres, protons are orange, oxygen is dark red, quinone is the grey hexamer, and the ball-and-stick molecule at the bottom left is NAD.
The authors are always happy to hear from readers!
